The object of this text, supported in the demonstration of power or influence of media and its responsibility, sometimes contradicted by the construction of information of negative and derogatory nature of the new "others" who live among us, that is to say, international migrants seeking new opportunities in western countries, consists in defending that the media can play an important role in the construction of a culturally inclusive citizenship, as an ethical project of equalitarian respect for all human beings, and that this leading role goes essentially through the "justice of the media" when news coverage of immigrant alterity, by promoting a culture of tolerance and mutual understanding, beyond deconstruction of negative myths about immigrants and recognition that can be, even now, agents of a "citizenship” communicational.
